Why did you become interested in fitness?

I had been very athletic in high school, but once college started I focused on school. Once I began training with Adela in the summer 2001, she saw something in me that no one else did. The more I trained with her the more I became interested in fitness. Up until that point I had never thought about competing. I loved working out and was amazed at the transformation my body was making. So, I decided to compete for the first time in 2003.

When did you first start working out?

I began working out in high school. I played basketball, softball and ran cross-country. It was required for all three sports. Back then I didn’t realize the importance of working out. It wasn’t until I met Adela in 2001, that I seriously began working out.

What other physical activities do you enjoy to stay fit?

I enjoy running, especially when the weather is nice and I can make it outdoors. My favorite would be running bleachers at a local stadium in my town.

What are your goals within the fitness industry?

Ideally, I would love to turn pro as a figure competitor. Each year, I continue to work hard and make improvements. I just do the best that I can.

Additional Notes

I would like to thank my trainer and best friend…Adela. Her guidance and support has helped me to be the person I am today!!! Also, my husband for all his support and putting up with me when I am dieting.
